Something was drawing him here, something.. was it the sound of laughter?
No... it couldnt be. For he was walking there, silent as the grave, and the thing walking with him was just as quiet. So it couldnt be laughter that was leading him on, or could it be? Who really knows except the one laughing, and the one being led on. And about to be attacked by some sort of silly army, but enough about that, more about the guy and the shadow that follows him.
Elk walked through the Dark Gorge, eyes wandering past every shadow, every spark of light that none could see in the dark place. Beside him walked his bundle of steel, Xi, who would protect him with her life. Or actually, with her fainting, but thats a different matter. The two walked through the dark, through the gorge, not hoping to see light, not looking for light. Only looking for the thing they sought, the laughter they followed.
They were searching for a Deathgate.

As always, the gorge was silent. But the place reeked of death. And it was far from lifeless. Just... silent. |

As silent as Elk himself. A fitting place for him, as he lived his life in silence, he lived his grievience in silence. The teen paused for a moment, looking about him, making sure he wouldnt get lost if anything happened. He couldnt help remember the last time he had met something in the dark. It had nearly eaten him, but had given him a name, a name to remember for the next time he met something in the dark.
The name stuck with him, but Elk didnt mind, it was fitting for anything found in the dark. Beside him, he could just barely see a glow of eyes from the Aron that traveled with him as always, shivering slightly in the silence. As the clanking of armor sounded through the Gorge, Elk continued on. [/size] |
